Embroidery Hoop Earring Tree

Did you have an earring tree when you were younger?  I did.  It was in the shape of a butterfly and I thought it was SOOOO cool.  Especially when I was able to finally start putting dangly earrings on it.

My niece got her ears pierces recently, so for Christmas I bought her an incredibly cute outfit and found a pair of earrings (in blue, her favorite color) to match.  I then remembered said tree and decided to find her one.  Well guess what?  Apparantely that is near impossible.  I couldn’t find one anywhere.  So I took to my head and came up with this:

An Embroidery Hoop Earring Tree.
Now you can make this as plain or as blinged out as you want.  I made this one pretty plain because I was just trying to see if it would even work.  So happy it did.
I hope she enjoys displaying her earrings on her wall for all to see!
I think this is pretty self-explanatory, but choose a fabric and some ribbon, stretch over your hoop, fasten, cut the extra fabric away and hot glue the edges down in the back.  Add a little ribbon hook and hang on your little girls wall!

(Last step is to glue the ribbon down, but this is how the back looks).

Happy Crafting.

Love it, Kim! I’ve seen plenty of hoop crafts, but never this! My favorite thing is stretching the ribbons across for the fishhook style. Cle-vah!

OMG!!! I totally forgot about those plastic earring holder things you used to be able to buy!!! I must say that your idea looks much classier than those old ones, but oh man I loved mine! I’m totally going to make one of these for my daughter. What a great idea!
